EDWIN JAMES DOUGLAS

"When Shepherds Watch Their Flocks by Night". Painted by Findon artist, Edwin Douglas, 1848-1914. Exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1894. The portrait is of Mr. McMillan with his dogs. He was the shepherd at Fox Down in Findon. The whisky bottle with a teat is in readiness to feed orphaned lambs.
