THIS IS FINDON VILLAGE ― These Findon Chronicles are created by Valerie Martin and are progressively growing to be the only record of life around Findon, West Sussex, England. Everyday stories about real people..... in fact, a potted history of the village. The topics today, are the history of tomorrow.
IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN

On Sunday 4th December 2011 I walked through the lychgate with my camera to celebrate the Christmas Tree Festival in St. John the Baptist Church. I was really looking forward to rejoicing at the festive sight.
Looking up at the church spire, my attention was immediately taken by the fact that the notorious residents of Church Hill had been boring sizeable holes in the comparatively new shingle tiling. I think I am correct in recalling that this had been treated to prevent such ravages by the woodpeckers but this has certainly not worked....

What is this little chappie doing?

He is guarding the Nepcote Flock's Christmas tree..... including Graham Langford's cap, crook... and wellies.

THIS IS FINDON VILLAGE — is a continually growing record created by Valerie Martin exclusively for documenting life in Findon.
