After this snowy winter, I do not think anyone will want to ever see another Christmas card with snow depicted on it!
The snowfall wasn't too bad in Findon itself the week before Christmas 2010 but it was a completely different world on higher ground at Cissbury Ring. An icy blizzard.... to chill the bones.....
Huskies with heads down battling against the snow.
Suzie beaten by the wind and clogged with the falling snow and sheets of ice balls hitting her.
"We're at the Triangulation Point.... can we go home now?"
Suddenly the blizzard ceased and the dark sky parted over the sea towards Brighton. A lone passing dog walker (mad fool to be out on a morning like this) aptly shouted through the snow that it was like Armageddon....
View down to Findon from Cissbury Ring during the respite in the blizzard.... looking west. Church Hill in the distance.
Findon in the snow from Cissbury Ring. Long Furlong is in the centre..... see below...
The house called Soldiers Field..... Captain Ryan Price's former home.
Nick Gifford's racehorses out exercising on the Gallops.... looking north. Chanctonbury has disappeared in the distance.
It's started to snow again......
Katie says "Please don't make us go round again.... we've not really huskies".
"Let's get loaded up quick and this darned door closed".
The A24 in the snow..... not quite a Christmas card scene!
