THIS IS FINDON VILLAGE ― These Findon Chronicles are created by Valerie Martin and are progressively growing to be the only record of life around Findon, West Sussex, England. Everyday stories about real people..... in fact, a potted history of the village. The topics today, are the history of tomorrow.

28th January 2007 — Laddie turns the corner.

LADDIE'S SUNDAY MORNING OUTING IN NEPCOTE

Copyright Valerie Martin 2007

Many moons ago (we won't say how many) I went riding at the Royal Riding School at Woodmancote just to the south of Henfield.    This was in the days when the establishment was run by Mr. Dunn.    I always chose to ride my favourite grey named Bimbo.

Nothing stands still and we move on and the establishment is now known as the Royal Leisure and they hold indoor competitive carriage driving classes.

This season Mandy Colbourne and her Welsh Cob, Laddie have been at the Royal and claimed a second win going round the obstacles —  which were no problem at all for our game little Findon horse.

Here is Laddie in Nepcote on a Sunday morning in January 2007 ... with Mandy driving and her groom, Kelly....

Laddie has a good look around.

Laddie says "Bye" as he trots out smartly and heads down Nepcote to the A24.
