METAL DETECTING ON NEPCOTE GREEN — 2004
This is a list of the items unearthed during the West Sussex Metal Detecting Society's forage on Nepcote Green during 2004 when they scanned just below the surface of the turf.....

I thought one or two finds of particular interest such as ...
The Canadian padlock (a remnant of their occupation of the area during the Second World War maybe?)
The musket balls (from the days of Roundheads and Cavaliers?)
The silver ring (lost by a shepherd's lover?... the imagination runs riot?
.....and, of course, the money lost over the years at countless Sheep Fairs.
If you wish to claim any of this lost property.... don't contact me...... but the West Sussex Metal Detecting Society.
