THE PARK BROW DEW-POND

One July evening in 2002 I discovered a dew-pond that until then I did not know existed. This is the one at Park Brow —

Cissbury Ring is in the background. Lychpole Farm is peeping round the corner of the hillside below the Iron Age Fort. The Park Brow dew-pond is rather magnificent.

Alas, by March 2004 the dew-pond I had described as magnificent had vanished and there was just an indentation in the ground and crops were growing over the site. What a good job I took photographs of another bit of Findon history before it disappeared.
