THE MUNTHAM DEW-POND
Copyright Valerie Martin 2004
Years ago there were many dew-ponds dotted over the Findon hills and one of these was at Muntham.
Gone are the days in Findon when heavy horses pulled their wide-wheeled carts around the base of a pond under construction, to puddle it. That was an era when the clay was carted from the Ashurst area and flints were supplied by Short's Farm in Findon.
